Jock wishart and crew reached the magnetic pole with their ice rowboat Old pulteney on August 28th 2011. www.rowtothepole.com

The new modern Saffier 36 IRC is scheduled to be launched in February 2012. The boat is built at the saffier boatyard in IJmuiden.

We made a preliminary design for a 50 ft fuel efficient cruiser.

For a new built traditional Indonesian wooden Phinisi, we designed a schooner sail- and rig plan, including all spar and rig drawings.

The Old Pulteney ice boat has been revealed.Scots adventurer Jock Wishart will row to the magnetic North Pole next summer to highlight the dramatic effect of climate change on the ice around the polar regions.

We have been busy the last couple of months, so we hardly could find time to keep the website updated. We have been designing a 27 ft daysailer, a 33 ft daysailer,a 22 ft runabout, a 30 ft rowboat for a polar expedition and a 40 ft runabout All designs are currently under construction.

On the return of the Harlingen-Hull-Harlingen race,(220 miles upwind in beaufort 5) the Stern 33 arrived as first monohull The Stern 40 design hit the water last week . Yacht one work in progress.

August 2008

At the traditional 24 hours race on the IJsselmeer in the Netherlands both the Stern 33 and the Stern 37 performed well. 2nd and 4th in the ORC2 division and 5th and 6th overall out of 660 boats.

The van Speijk 26 and 32 will be present at the HISWA boat show in IJmuiden in the beginning of September. Also the Stern 33 will be present at the fun4sail stand.

The Qrooz visited the office in Amsterdam on its way to Stockholm in Sweden. They made the trip through the Kieler canal,to Kopenhagen and Goteborg and then through the Gota canal and across the lakes to the Baltic and arrived in Stockholm, where she will sail with passengers.

The lugger "de Hoop" hit the water in Arnhem the end of October.

Zeydon is well progressing with the building of their first 60 footer. We were the naval architects for this project. BMW design works was responsible for styling exterior and interior.

The Stern 33 was 1st overall in the 425 miles race from Harlingen to Hull and back to Harlingen.

After the succes with the Ocean 4 rowing boat in the Netherlands, A new boat is being built for ocean rowing in Australia.

The building of the hull mould of the Svalbard 41 is almost ready to be able to produce the first 2 boats. The Svalbard 41 design combines a modern hull with retractable keel and modern sailplan with a traditional cutter type appearance.

The Velder 23 has been launched. Sea trials will be held in the coming weeks.

This 54 ft modern styled classic sailing yacht will be built at Folmer shipyard in the Netherlands. Building will start in spring this year..

This high speed motorcatamaran will be built in the beginning of 2007.

we do not design houses, but occasionally we are asked by architects and interior builders to shape 3d complex components and prepare the moulds these images reflect the bottom of a free hanging floor, which will be covered with green copper shingles.

Currently we are designing a new 31 ft aluminium RIB for Datema in Ijmuiden.

We made a preliminary design for a 130 ft live aboard motoryacht.

The houseboat Zena will get a new, more comfortable Steering house. The attached picture shows a part of the cargo hold and part of the owner's cabin in the back. The new steering house will be extended on top of the cargo hold.

April 2006

In cooperation with industrial designer Huibert Groenendijk we are working on the linesplan and the construction for the houseboat Qrooz, which will be built in a small series. These vessels will get their own pier in Rotterdam harbour. At the moment we are preparing the building kit in steel. Building will start in August

we are working on the design of a 30 ft trailable runabout capable of 35 knots. The owner will start building in the beginning of May.

January 2006

We have 2 orders for the Svalbard 41, which will be built in foam sandwich construction. The images show the mould of the hull.

December2005

Currently we are working on the building kit of the 22 meter lugger. Building will start in january.

The new Stern 40 will be built in foam sandwich construction. The temporary frames have been set up last week.

For a new boat building company in Belgium; Zeydon, we are doing the naval architecture for their new 60 footer. The hull mould will be ready for infusion in 3 weeks. The deck mould will be ready just after Christmas.

May 2005

The Ocean fours team started on May 27th with their effort to cross the Atlantic from New York to the Scilly Islands, to set a new record time. You can follow their trip on their website www.oceanfours.com

The Stern 33 A Boen has won the North Sea Race in the ORC 1 class.

The 35 meter houseboat was launched on March 26th in Arnhem at the yard of Casper Helldorfer. She is towed to Enkhuizen where she will get some interior.

We are currently working on the design of 2 loggers, which show a comfortable traditional live aboard sailing vessel.

Taling boats have a 43 and a 47 ft hull ready to start laminating.

For Bart Jan Bats jachtbouw we are designing a 23 ft classic daysailer.

December 2004

The preliminary design of a 41 ft classic launch was made. Calculated top speed will be 30 knots. Also the design of a new 70 ft dutch Haringlogger was confirmed.

November 2004

Last month we prpared the building kit for a 35 meter houseboat. Within one month we made the linesplan, construction drawings and the plate panel kit. The ship is being built in Arnhem at the yard of Casper Helldorfer. Photos show the ship after 5 days of building.

An inclining test with the ocean fours was performed rolling her 360 degrees. The boat was self righting for the total range of 360 degrees. After this test the boys rowed 4 days non stop on the Ijsselmeer and the North sea and are very confident about the boat and its capabilities.

Ocean four

We designed an ocean rowing boat for a dutch rowing team, which will cross the Atlantic ocean next year from New York to Rotterdam. The boat is launched the 23rd of this month in Rotterdam. Stern 33

The second Stern 33 sailed her maiden trip from Tallin, where she was built, to the Netherlands. On the first leg to Kiel (Germany) she averaged 170 miles a day with top speeds of 17.5 knots.

In the mean time the Jager performs excellent in the club races she sailed.

Saffier 32

We are preparing all drawings for the new Saffier 32, which will start production this fall.

Amsterdamse sloep 900

We will start on the design of a 9 meter classic launch for Diestam from Amsterdam. The "Amsterdam sloep 900" will be built in steel. more info can be found in the design section.

Stern 33

The first Stern 33 "Jager" (hunter) hit the water on a windy day in February in Medemblik. The Jager will be outfitted the coming weeks and will be sailing early spring. This project started as a one-off, but the builder was so enthousiastic about the outcome, that he decided to make moulds to start series production.

Parnu yachts is building the Stern 33.

The second boat is sceduled to be launched in June.

Stern 37

The second hull is under construction at Pijnen jachtbouw in Tholen, the Netherlands. This boat will be all core-cell foam cored and the hull will be epoxy glassed using the vacuum injection system. This will create a very stiff and strong hull.

Jupiter 40

The Jupiter 40 is designed to meet the demands of semi custom high performance yacht for the amateur builder. The "Scheepsmaat" in the Netherlands offers this boat in various stages of finishing. Hull material can be foam sandwich, plywood, woodcore or aluminium.

Slamat Djalan 75

For an Indonesian client we are doing a study on 75 ft sailing vessel, which is going to be used for exclusive dive charters with max. 10 guests and 6 crew. We are aiming at traditional looks with an up to date hull and schooner rigplan.

Taling 43

Taling yachts in the Netherlands asked us to do the engineering for their new 43 footer. The temporary mould frames are laser cut for accuracy, directly from the computer generated drawings. Building material is strong plank. The building started in the beginning of March.
