The Farnova 45 sailed the Hainan regatta. It was also the maiden trip for the boat and during the event, the speed was growing. Skipper Martin Hingst and the sponsors were very satisfied with the results of this new boat.

On Saturday April 21st, K&M; Yachtbuilders in Makkum will have an open day. The Axonite 69 and the Icon 48 participate in this open day and also the plans of the new Axonite 57 will be shown. I will be present during the whole day.

K&M; Yachtbuilders, Satellite Yacht Design and Guido de Groot Design present the Axonite 57. These three companies are respectively responsible for the building, design and styling of the yacht. At the end of 2010, the Axonite 69 was launched in Makkum, and now the companies developed a smaller version in the line of Axonites.
The result is a 57-footer, with the same design criteria and entirely designed in the same style like the Axonite 69. Here the focus is also on sailing and comfort. The ratio between the sail area and displacement is optimized by applying a retractable T-keel, with a variable draft of 2.90-1.40 meter and 1750 litre water ballast per side.
The choice to keep the cockpit as low as possible is made so the crew can move themselves safely at sea. This is further enhanced by fastening the mainsheet on a roll bar so there is no obstacle between the deck salon and the steering position. To move safely on deck, a bulwark is created. The permanent cockpit table offers a good grip during sailing and a cozy place in the port or at anchorage.
In the deck salon is a spacious settee in U-shape and the chart table. During sailing in bad weather the deck salon, with a full view around, is a safe and comfortable place to stay.
The spacious owner's cabin is located in the fore ship. The two spacious guest cabins have a double- and a bunk bed. The U-shaped galley is located underneath the front windows of the deck salon and is light and spacious. In the fore ship is a head with separate shower and the day head is located in the deck salon.
The engine room is located under the deck salon with space for the main engine, a generator, water maker and other technique. The hydraulic transom door is a wonderful bathing platform and also provides access to the dinghy storage.
The Axonite 57 is also available with alternative keel versions and lay outs. At the moment, the design team is also developing a 90 foot Axonite.

The Aquarius (design 150) made her maiden trip. The sloop has a length over all of 10.00 meter and is built in Indonesia.
For the DC41 and sailing yachts in general, we have tested various hull shapes. We calculated the performance of a round bilge hull and a single chined hull, as we see in the Volvo Ocean Race. It was obvious that there's a big benefit downwind for lightweight racers, but what's the advantage for a racer⁄cruiser in short races and what does the IRC with the single chined hull?

Last week, we participate the Shanghai Boatshow in China. It was very successful and in China the number of TEN’s is growing. Of the DC15, the prototype was shown and the first boats will be delivered for the summer.

Martin Hingst made a report of the China Cup:
"Dit voorjaar werd mij door de Chinese bouwer van de TEN gevraagd om de China Cup in Shenzhen te varen. Deze zeilwedstrijden werden gehouden van 28 tm 31 oktober.
Wij varen in de IRC2, maar starten in een gecombineerde IRC 1 en 2. Dit betekend dus; samen starten met TP 52's en 80 ft racers, Millennium 45’s, A40's en A35’s en Mumm 30’s. Het is een bont gezelschap. Wij zijn duidelijk het kleinduimpje van het veld. De aanbrengrace van Hong Kong naar Shenzhen slaan wij in verband met de logistiek over.
Onze eerste zeildag zijn we vroeg in de haven om de laatste masttrim te doen. Dan het water op. Er staat 4 tot 6 knopen wind. Voor ons start het veld van wel 30 Beneteau's 40.7’s. We weten goed gebruik te maken van onze kleine lichte boot door behendig tussen de grote boten een plekje bij de bovenboei te bemachtigen en we gaan als eerste de startlijn over. We zijn verbaasd over onze hoogte en snelheid. Een A40 net onder ons gestart zakt langzaam weg. We gaan hoger en harder. Nog voor de bovenboei halen we de eerste Beneteau's in. We gaan als vijfde om de bovenboei voor alle IRC2 boten. Ook na het tweede kruisrak liggen we nog steeds eerste in IRC, daar wordt door de wedstrijd commissie afgekort. Onze eerst race met de nieuwe TEN weten we gelijk winnend af te sluiten.
De volgende dag staan twee up- en downwind races en een ‘rond een eiland’ race op het programma. De eerste race weten we weer te winnen en de tweede race gaat vanwege te weinig wind niet door. ‘s Middags de lange baan wedstrijd met daarin twee lange halve-windse rakken. De start gaat goed maar als we het lange halve-windse rak in gaan merken we dat de grotere boten ons toch langzaam voorbij varen. Er valt niets aan te doen en we finishen uiteindelijke als vijfde.
De laatste dag hebben we eindelijk wat meer wind. Met 15 kopen wind merken we dat we downwind nog meer verschil kunnen maken en weten we ook deze race te winnen. De laatste race is weer een race om een eiland. Nu is het hoofdzakelijk aan de wind en voor de wind.
We hebben een goede start en varen vanaf het begin aan de leiding. Wanneer we na 1,5 uur het eiland ronden, gaat de gennaker omhoog. Met 15 knopen wind varen we 10 tot 12 knopen downwind. We lopen alleen maar verder uit op onze concurrenten. Helaas slaat dan het noodlot toe. De knoop in het dynema achterstag is er uitgegleden. Door meteen de stopper van de gennaker open te gooien en de boot in de wind sturen kunnen we verdere schade voorkomen. Nadat we alles hadden opgeruimd hebben we een nood achterstag gemaakt, zodat we weer verder konden. We hebben een aardige achterstand inmiddels, maar met de snelheid waarmee we hen weer opliepen was dat maar tijdelijk. Gijpen was wat moeilijker geworden
We moesten eerst een reef in het grootzeil trekken om het uitgebouwde grootzeil onder de achterstag door te krijgen. Maar we wisten toch weer als eerste de finish te bereiken, maar helaas werden we derde op handicap.
We kunnen terugzien op een geslaagde China Cup met een eerste plaats op de up- en downwind banen en een derde plaats overall, mede veroorzaakt doordat we de aanbrengrace niet hebben meegevaren."

During the China Cup, sailed in Shenzhen (China), the TEN won a lot of prices in the IRC. The skipper, the Dutchman Martin Hingst won the most races with a chinese crew. The TEN showed that it is possible to win absolute and on handicap with wind beneeth the 10 knots. During the races, a lot of TEN's were sold.

Last week, the first trials are made with the Icon 48 (design 143). The wheather was stabil and the windspeed was between 12 and 16 knots. The course was a few hours upwind and a few hours downwind, without a gennaker. Upwind, the speed was between 8.5 and 9.0 knots. For the first trial and the few waterdepth on that part of the IJsselmeer, we were very satisfied about the speed and the behaviour of the Icon.

The Icon 48 (design 143) is launched and will be rigged this week. Next week will be the first sea trials. The Icon 48 was built in Sealium at K & M Yacht Builders in Makkum. The rig consists of a carbon Sparcraft mast and sails manufactured by North Sails.

The Aquarius (design no. 150), built in Indonesia, is almost finished. In a few months the sloop will arive in the Netherlands. The prototype is allready sold, but the Aquarius will be offered for an intersting price.

The Indigo (design no. 144) won this year, during the 24-hours, the ‘Tim van Rootselaar prize’. This prize is awarded to the monohull with the most sailed miles in the race. After the victory of the TEN (design no. 147) in 2010, it was the second year in succession for our design. The Indigo 26 (with 26ft, one of the smallest members) sailed in a fleet of 40 and 50 feet racers almost 198 miles.

In edition 12, the Dutch 'Waterkampioen' published a great article with beautiful pictures of the Charlotte (design 148). There is also a bigger sister, namely a 45ft Charlotte (design 110).

The Icon 48 (design 143), under construction at K&M; in Makkum, almost nearing its completion. Hull and deck are painted in metallic gray. The deck is finished with Esthec, there is a Hall Spars carbon mast and the sails are made by North Sails. The planned launch is in August 2011. The Icon 48 has become a beautiful yacht, with much attention paid to the detailing.

At the moment. a Chinese shipyard has 4 designs of Satellite Yacht Design in production. The yard has already built the TEN (design 147) and later a 22ft daysailer (design 142) and a 15ft (design 156) and 12ft (design 157) dinghy into production. The hull of the TEN has been modified to participate in the IRC fleet.

The Axonite 69 was presented on the Hiswa Boat Show. The yacht sailed the last month approxiamately 2000 miles. The boat performed well in all areas. The velocity and stability were good. The rigging, like the carbon mast and the Hagoort sails were stable and all systems worked satisfactorily.

The 'TEN' with skipper Martin Hingst has won the 2010 24 hour race. The 'TEN' sailed 184.21 miles during the 24 hours and won the first prize in the class ORC1. And not only that, but also the 'TEN' was the fastest monohull and won the 'Tim van Rootselaar' prize.

Great results for the Indigo (design 144) and TEN (design 147) in the 50ft miles dualhanded. Both boats finished 1st in their class. The 26ft Indigo was abolute the second monohull overall after the 38ft 'Hemels van der Hart". The 33ft TEN was absolute the 4th monohull overall.

We made a new design for the Admirals Tender Sport. The original linesplan is designed by Van de Stadt Design and we designed a new deck and installation (220 pk Volvo). The boat is built in the Netherlands by Jachtbouw Vels & Partners in Medemblik. During the trials the boatspeed was easily 31 kts. There was no difference btween a crew of 6 or 2 persons.

The Charlotte (design 148) had the first trials. The yacht has a classic look, but is sailing like a modern yacht. The helmsman and crew are protected in the deep cockpit and the deck is and looks spacious.

The production of the TEN finally started. After sailing the prototype last summer, we made a trip to Dalian to finalize the moulds and last details. The TEN is a 10.00m sportboat, built in epoxy ⁄ glass fibre and is vacuum injected in a mould. The rigging contains out a carbon mast and PBO rigging.

In the Groningen Delfzijl, the Satellite 44 ⁄ Competition (design 128) is rigged. This was the last phase in the construction of this yacht. The result is a beautiful, composite, professionally built yacht with a retractable keel.

The demo model of the TEN is ready for a visit, and the TEN-team wants to invite all the interested sailors in Hindeloopen. All the deckequipment is mounted and also the interior is completed. The interior absolutely fits in the concept. The red leather-look cushions, the two round consoles with the stove and the sink and the storage for the sails behind the seats are practical and gives the interior a modern look. "A great ship with beautiful lines and a great interior, it was the comment from a potential buyer that the option right converted into an agreement. To make a perfect product, the TEN-team inventoried the whole yacht and the adjustments will be made in the next products.

For a dutchman in Indonesia, we designed a new 10m sloop (design 150). The sloop has the same characteristics as the 'Quaestor' and the 'Falcon'. A 40kW engine is located in the aft and in the front is a double berth and a small interior.

Last week, I visited the yard in China. The moulds and the prototype of the 'TEN' (design 147) are almost finished and now the yard should focus on the details. The complex composite work, where the yard vacuum-injected the epoxy laminate with a vinylester gelcoat, looks good. At the moment the yard is finishing the stainless steel equipment, keel and rudder.

Guido de Groot Design finished the interior end exterior design of the Axonite 69 (design 149). We did the naval architecture and at the moment we’re finishing the construction drawings. The Indigo (design 144) made her first trials and the boat has a lot of potential. The first trip was a regatta in a light wind condition and the second trip a trial with 25kts true wind. In both conditions the performance was good and we sailed 14kts without gennaker. The next months we will optimize the boat.

We just visited the yard in China, where the Ten (design 147) will be built at the moment. The goal was to check the moulds and to discuss a lot of details. It was nice to see that the yard owner and his crew were very motivated and capable. The first trials are expected in August 2008.

Mid-December, the management of 'Expect Sailing' signed a contract in China for the serial production of the 'Ten' (design no. 147). The yacht will be built in a composite sandwich⁄epoxy construction and will be delivered with a carbon mast including PBO rigging.

The Falcon 44 (design no.139) is launched on July 21st. The yacht is built in composite and has a retractable keel. The building started in October 2004 and the whole project is done by an 'amateur' builder. The result is a professionally built yacht with traditional lines and up-to-date sailing characteristics. The Falcon 44 will make her first sailing trips in August.

The Beluga 40 'Rebbons' (design no. 137) is launched on March 24th. The 'Rebbons' is built by Schaap Shipcare in Lelystad. The result is a beautiful built yacht and an excellent example for custom building. The retractable keel and the adjusted interior make the 'Rebbons' a unique yacht.

The Icon 48 (design no. 143) will be built by "K & M Yachtbuilders" in Makkum. The yacht was originally designed in composite, but re-constructed in Sealium. Sealium is a marine grade aluminium alloy, created and registered by Alcan Marine and has a 15 percent higher welded yield strength than standard alloys. The yard will start at the end of 2007.

The Satellite 34, a sporting cruise sailing yacht has been restyled. In 1997, we started with the first sketches, a new linesplan is developed in 2001 and this year a new keel and rudder were designed. The Satellie 34 is designed in woodcore, and therefore extremely suitable for the purpose of self building. The final result of this self built method will be incomparable with the strength and stiffness of an average polyester yacht.

September 16th, the outside hull of the Falcon 44 is vacuum injected. This project is escorted by "Polyworx" and "Stichting Maritiem Kenniscentrum". The amateur builder built and shaped the corecell hull and laid the glassfibre according the laminate scheme and the professionals has vacuum inject the outside hull in one day.
Last week the Beluga 46 returned from her trip to Spitsbergen. The outward voyage was non-stop in eleven days and the return voyage was along the Norwegian coast. From Tromsø (Norway) to Den Helder (the Netherlands) the crew had to sail more as 1000 miles upwind. Different wind speeds and angles asked all the possibilities, like the waterballast and the oversized sailplan, of the yacht. Crew and yacht are safe home in the Netherlands and had a comfortable and spectaculair sailing trip.
The preliminary design of the Icon 48 is finished. This 48ft composite sailing yacht with a teak deck and cockpit is primary designed for sailing, but will have a comfortable interior for four people as well.
Shipyard Klaas Bood in Nijkerk has closed her doors after more as twenty years. Because a lack of assignments, bankruptcy seems to be onavoidable. The Beluga 40 is transported to Schaap Ship Care in Lelystad, where the building of the Beluga 40 will be finished.
In Delfzijl, the first building frames of the G-force are set up and the deckmould is for 80% ready.
The Beluga 46 has sailed several journeys, last month, at the North Sea and the IJsselmeer. The special keelconfiguration operates well and the sailing performances are as good as expected. The coming months, the yacht and it's crew will prepare itself for a journey to Spitsbergen.
On account of the 25th anniversary of her kingship, Queen Beatrix visited Delfzijl the 12th of May. The G-Force project was one of the subjects of this day. The Queen spoke with the builders and was interested in the project.
In May, the design of 45ft composite cruiser⁄racer will start. Some demands for this new design are; high performance, composite hull and deck, fin keel with a draft of 2.40m, open cocpit, twin wheel configuration, teak deck and carbon spars.
At the moment, the building of two prototypes of the G-Force is started in Delfzijl. This project of the 'Stichting Maritiem Kennis Centrum' is a social programm to reintegrate unemployed people. The boat is designed for three or four sailers with a maximum weight of 275kg, has a large cockpit and has a retractable keel with a draft of 1.50m.

The Beluga 46 is launched Februari 17th by Klaas Bood in Nijkerk and will be rigged next week.

From Januari 15 till 23, we participated in the Dusseldorf boatshow in hall 16. We allready participated twice in the Hiswa boatshow and with this experience, we started this challenge. Our goal was to show our current projects, to make new contacts with european boatyards and a good PR. After the event all our goals were richly scored.
A dutch company will start the building of two prototypes of the G-force. The G-force is a high-tech polyester sportboat with a length of 6.60m.

Since September 13, the selling of the Crest Grasshopper, Crest 910, Crest 1020 and Crest 1130 (formerly known as Titan-yachts) will be supported by Jachtwerf van Workum Arnhem BV. This Yard was already the builder of these yachts. On account of the reorganization, the contact with the client will be more direct and the building process will be more effective.
Till march 2005, Jachtwerf van Workum will have a special offer for the Crest 910 and Crest 1020.
The building frames of the Falcon 44 (project 139) are set up and at the moment the planking of the core cell is started. In- and outside of the hull will be vacuum injected. The composite deck will be build simultaneous with the hull.

Project 128 is still going on. The 'amateur' builders of Groningen (Holland) brought the deck and hull together. Just like the hull, the deck is also made seperate with the vacuum-injection method.
There's an order for a the preliminary design of the Northman 40 (project 140). The Northman 40 is a mix between the Beluga 40 and the Quaestor 40. We took the lines of the Beluga 40 and the bow and bulwark of the Quaestor 40. The cabin is stretched forward for an acceptable headroom in the interior. The doghouse will give the interior more daylight and headroom. The Northman will be constructed in aluminium.
The first lines of the Falcon 44 are almost finished. Linesplan, deckplan and sailplan are ready. The Falcon 44 is designed with a retractable liftkeel.
The first Titan 1020 is launched by Jachtwerf van Workum Arnhem bv. The christening was a nice festivity and the owners were very satisfied and proud with their new yacht.

There's an order for the Beluga 40 (design no. 137). The concept shall be equal as the Beluga 46. The building of the Beluga 40 will be started in August 2004 at the boatyard Bood Jachtbouw BV in Nijkerk.
The dutch boatyard 'Bood Jachtbouw' started the building of a 46ft sailing yacht, the Beluga 46 (design no. 130). This Beluga 46 is designed as a fast, comfortable long-distance cruiser. The composite hull is constructed with core-cell and glass⁄epoxy laminates inside and outside. The building method is equal as the woodcore method, but saves a lot weigh in the hull.
A retractable hydraulic keel and waterballast gives the Beluga 46 optimum sailing capacities and an almost unlimited sailing area. The keelbox is stowed away under the table. Naval architect Piet van Oossanen developed the keel concept and designed the retractable keel with a bulb and winglets. The double rudders gives the Beluga 46, with the minimum draft, optimum steering capacities.
Another eye catcher is the revolving gennakerboom resulting in a maximum downwind angle with the gennaker.
The interior is designed with a lot of comfort in sailing as well in anchoring conditions.
The galley, the chart table and the toilet, also known as the "wet area”, are in the centre of the boat which makes it possible to keep the other areas dry while sailing. This will provide considerable comfort afterwards.
The saloon has an U-shaped settee on portside and a two arm-chairs on starboard. The owners-cabin is in the front and offers with the private head a comfortable place with a lot of privacy. In the rear are two guest cabins and between these is a technical space for the heater, desalinator, etc. The batteries, fuel- and watertanks are located under the seats, which optimise the sailing capacities.
The date of delivery will be the summer of 2004 and the maiden trip is planned to Spitsbergen.
At the moment, boatyard ‘van Workum Arnhem BV’ is building the Titan 1020. Just like the earlier presented Titan 910, the Titan 1020 is a plywood sailing yacht which can be delivered in various stages of completion.
The Titan 1020 is designed by Satellite Yacht Design⁄ Kees van de Stadt and the sales will be handled by Titan Yachts ⁄ Cabra Yachting at Zeewolde.
A few years ago, the Titan was already presented and built under another name. With the new name, Satellite Yacht Design optimised the building method and now the total building kit is pre-cut.
Just like the Titan 910, the Titan 1020 is a fast and competitive sailing yacht that can be easily handled by a small crew, offering comfortable accommodation to four to six persons. The standard version of the Titan 1020 features a lead bulb keel with a draught of 1.90 meter, suspended to a steel frame. Extra attention has been paid to the finish of the interior, whose chique atmosphere is the result of standard frames, hinges, locks and handles. For sure, the design is a compromise between safety, speed and comfort.
The Titan 910 (design no. 118) has her maiden trip in Zeewolde and achieves as expected. With a windspeed of 20 knots, the Titan 910 is easily sailing upwind with 7 knots.
The preliminary design of the Quaestor 40 (design no. 133) is ready. The Quaestor 40 is a 40 feet pilot cutter with modern lines beneath the waterline an will be constructed in woodcore.
Satellite 44 'Emma' is launched in Gent (Belgium). After rigging by Holland Spar in Terneuzen, the maiden trip is made to Scheveningen and the day after to Amsterdam.

"Een jongensdroom wordt werkelijkheid.
Nadat het lijnenspel van Kees van de Stadt in zijn Impact 37 ons al had gecharmeerd en wij de eerste Satellite 44 bij puur toeval de dag na de tewaterlating zagen varen, waren wij verkocht. Dat moest het worden. Zo moest onze nieuwe Emma eruit zien. Dan ga je toch een lange periode van voorbereiding, onderhandeling en bouwen in. Uiterst interessant, heel betrokken maar ook zeer inspannend
Op zaterdag, 15 maart ging ze te water. Dat was werkelijk één van de mooiste en indrukwekkendste momenten in ons leven. Je ervaart zoiets toch als je eigen creatie. Je kent iedere mm2. Meteen hebben wij veel gevaren, want al heb je wel een idee hoe de boot zal reageren, je moet het toch maar ervaren. Dat het verschil met onze vorige boot (een Contest 36) groot zou zijn, wisten we natuurlijk wel. Dat was ook een bewuste keuze. We willen wat sportiever kunnen zeilen in een performance cruiser. Nou, en dat gebeurde dan ook. De Satellite 44 vaart enerzijds als een dinghy. Uiterst wendbaar en accelereert als een haas. Je vaart eigenlijk altijd vlot verder en dus ook vrijwel alles voorbij. Toch is de boot niet wispelturig op haar roer. Bij meer voorlijker winden kun je het roer vastzetten en stuurt zij zichzelf. Wij moesten wel enorm wennen aan de trimgevoeligheid van de boot. Dat vraagt aanzienlijk meer aandacht dan we hadden gedacht. Als je wil ben je dus echt bijna continue aan het trimmen. En het levert wat op !! Het scheelt namelijk zo maar een knoop of meer in je snelheid als het tuig niet goed staat. Je kunt je hierop echt uitleven. Op het IJsselmeer (ligplaats Lelystad) komt de snelheid er bij veel wind niet echt goed uit. Daar is het dan toch te ondiep voor. Op zee gaat dat natuurlijk prima. Snelheden tussen de 7 en 9 knopen zijn dan heel normaal. Wij varen bijna altijd met z'n tweeën en komen dan dus wel wat handjes te kort om er echt alles uit te halen. Toch kunnen we dan met de a-symmetrische spi de 9 - 10 knopen wel aardig vast houden over langere periodes. Het fractionele tuig was een bewuste keuze voor ons. We varen alleen met een high-aspect voorzeil (105 %). Met een zeer makkelijk reefbaar grootzeil, is de boot goed handelbaar als de wind toeneemt. Zelfs bij plat voor de wind varen met flinke golven is het een genot om met deze boot te varen. Alleen het grootzeil bij en gewoon op de zelfstuur is geen probleem. We konden gewoon wat anders gaan doen. Ze breekt niet uit. Kortom, ook op lange afstanden is het een boot waarmee je heel relaxed kunt varen. Onze eerste zomervakantie met Emma heeft ons naar onze favoriete Oostkust van Engeland gebracht. Oversteken maken wij veelal 's nachts. Mijn vrouw en ik wisselen elkaar dan om de 3 a 4 uur af. Je kunt goed slapen en de boot vaart rustig op de zelfstuur door. Meestal zetten we onze boot tijden de vakantie droog tegen een kademuurtje. Zo ook nu. Kun je mooi alles onder de waterlijn eens even controleren. Allemaal geen probleem. In alles merk je dat een woodcore constructie een uiterst sterke en stijve boot oplevert. Omdat je met een dergelijke boot toch gemiddeld harder vaart, blijkt ook dat je meer afstand aflegt. Na de oostkust zijn we naar de zuidkust gegaan. Nadat we Wight achter ons hadden, draaide de wind en ging langdurig in het zuidwesten zitten. Met springtij is dat toch onplezierig en zijn we omgekeerd. Weer zijn we terug gegaan naar de oost kust. Bij elkaar hebben we ongeveer 1100 nm in deze vakantie op een uiterst relaxte manier gevaren. In het najaar hebben we met een enthousiaste bemanning de 24-uurs gevaren. 5 zeilers, die wel eens wilden zien wat we met deze boot konden doen. De boot is niet gemeten en dus hebben we in de Toer-groep gevaren. We zijn als vierde op gezeilde afstand binnen gekomen. De eerste vier finishten allemaal binnen één mijl gezeilde afstand van elkaar. Kortom, de Satellite 44 is een snelle boot. Over het hele seizoen hebben wij 2300 mijl gevaren, dus hebben we haar goed leren kennen. Niets is ons tegen gevallen. In tegendeel, we zijn nog enthousiaster dan in het begin. Er is eigenlijk maar één nadeel: we zouden vaker weg willen. Maar dat kan jammer genoeg (nog ?) niet."
At the Hiswa boatshow, the building of 20 'woodpeckers' is started. Twenty dutch families have to build a 2.50m plywood sailing boat, designed bij Satellite Yacht Design ⁄ Kees van de Stadt in three days. The project is organised bij the ANWB.
Both literally and figuratively speaking the Titan 910 is more than just a pretty picture. Jachtwerf van Workum Arnhem BV has recently started building the first Titan 910, designed by Satellite Yacht Design (Kees van de Stadt). The kit, which consists of approximately 400 plywood and solid wooden parts and glued together with epoxy, can be delivered in various stages of completion.

Titan Yachts is a unique joint venture of Cabra Yachting in Zeewolde and Jachtwerf van Workum Arnhem BV. Satellite Yacht Design (Kees van de Stadt) is the exclusieve designer of the Titan yachts, while sales are handled by Cabra Yachting. With the new Titan 910 the range currently consists of two yachts: the 1020 and the 910. The development of a new daysailer with a length of 6.10 meter is well underway. Plans for a line of Titans ranging from an 800 model up to a 1240 one are also currently being developed.
