August 28th 2008: Icon

Hull and deck of the Icon 48 are built upside down. On Friday August 28th, the Icon 48 has been turned. In the next weeks the cabin will be placed.

March 23th 2007: Icon

The Icon 48 (design no. 143) will be built by “K & M Yachtbuilders” in Makkum. The yacht was originally designed in composite, but re-constructed in Sealium. Sealium is a marine grade aluminium alloy, created and registered by Alcan Marine and has a 15 percent higher welded yield strength than standard alloys. The yard will start at the end of 2007.

July 2005: Icon

The preliminary design of the Icon 48 is finished. This 48ft composite sailing yacht with a teak deck and cockpit is primary designed for sailing, but will have a comfortable interior for four people as well.
