/0 Comments/in Satellite /by Kees van de StadtThe Satellite 34, a sporting cruise sailing yacht has been restyled. In 1997, we started with the first sketches, a new linesplan is developed in 2001 and this year a new keel and rudder were designed. The Satellie 34 is designed in woodcore, and therefore extremely suitable for the purpose of self building. The final result of this self built method will be incomparable with the strength and stiffness of an average polyester yacht.

September 2005: Falcon
/0 Comments/in Falcon /by Kees van de StadtSeptember 16th, the outside hull of the Falcon 44 is vacuum injected. This project is escorted by “Polyworx” and “Stichting Maritiem Kenniscentrum”. The amateur builder built and shaped the corecell hull and laid the glassfibre according the laminate scheme and the professionals has vacuum inject the outside hull in one day.
September 2005: Beluga
/0 Comments/in Beluga /by Kees van de StadtLast week the Beluga 46 returned from her trip to Spitsbergen. The outward voyage was non-stop in eleven days and the return voyage was along the Norwegian coast. From Tromsø (Norway) to Den Helder (the Netherlands) the crew had to sail more as 1000 miles upwind. Different wind speeds and angles asked all the possibilities, like the waterballast and the oversized sailplan, of the yacht. Crew and yacht are safe home in the Netherlands and had a comfortable and spectaculair sailing trip.

/0 Comments/in Uncategorized /by Kees van de StadtShipyard Klaas Bood in Nijkerk has closed her doors after more as twenty years. Because a lack of assignments, bankruptcy seems to be unavoidable. The Beluga 40 is transported to Schaap Ship Care in Lelystad, where the building of the Beluga 40 will be finished.

/0 Comments/in Beluga /by Kees van de StadtThe Beluga 46 has sailed several journeys, last month, at the North Sea and the IJsselmeer. The special keelconfiguration operates well and the sailing performances are as good as expected. The coming months, the yacht and it’s crew will prepare itself for a journey to Spitsbergen.
