On the website, we published some new pictures of the Icon 48 (design 143), built in aluminium by K&M; in Makkum.

The Aquarius (design 150) made her maiden trip. The sloop has a length over all of 10.00 meter and is built in Indonesia.

For the DC41 and sailing yachts in general, we have tested various hull shapes. We calculated the performance of a round bilge hull and a single chined hull, as we see in the Volvo Ocean Race. It was obvious that there’s a big benefit downwind for lightweight racers, but what’s the advantage for a racer⁄cruiser in short races and what does the IRC with the single chined hull?

Tensailing has a new website and a new organisation. Besides information about the TEN, there is also information about the other DC-boats.

Last week, we participate the Shanghai Boatshow in China. It was very successful and in China the number of TEN’s is growing. Of the DC15, the prototype was shown and the first boats will be delivered for the summer.

Saturday April 21st, you can visit the Icon 48, during the open day in Makkum. The Icon 48 is launched October 2011 and is built in Sealium. You can visit the Icon 48 Saturday during the open days in Makkum. The Icon 48 is built in Sealium and the hull and deck are painted metallic. A dark gray Esthec deck, a carbon mast and black sails presented a futuristic yacht, which you can manage and steer with an APP.
