September 2005: Falcon

September 16th, the outside hull of the Falcon 44 is vacuum injected. This project is escorted by “Polyworx” and “Stichting Maritiem Kenniscentrum”. The amateur builder built and shaped the corecell hull and laid the glassfibre according the laminate scheme and the professionals has vacuum inject the outside hull in one day.

September 2005: Beluga

Last week the Beluga 46 returned from her trip to Spitsbergen. The outward voyage was non-stop in eleven days and the return voyage was along the Norwegian coast. From Tromsø (Norway) to Den Helder (the Netherlands) the crew had to sail more as 1000 miles upwind. Different wind speeds and angles asked all the possibilities, like the waterballast and the oversized sailplan, of the yacht. Crew and yacht are safe home in the Netherlands and had a comfortable and spectaculair sailing trip.

June 2005

Shipyard Klaas Bood in Nijkerk has closed her doors after more as twenty years. Because a lack of assignments, bankruptcy seems to be unavoidable. The Beluga 40 is transported to Schaap Ship Care in Lelystad, where the building of the Beluga 40 will be finished.
