The prototype of the ‘TEN’ (design 147) is ready and is currently being transported to the Netherlands.

December 1st 2008

Keith Austin of the ‘South Pacific boat Company’ is the new agent of Satellite Yacht Design in Australia and New Zealand. South Pacific Boat Company will be providing a quality service of marketing and sales to the amateur and professional Yacht Builder of yacht Kits and yacht plans designed exclusively by Satellite Yacht Design(Kees Van de Stadt). South Pacific Boat Company will be the exclusive agents for Satellite Yacht Designs plans and kits in Australia and New Zealand as well as the nearby Pacific Island of the Southern Pacific region.

November 19th 2008: Aelicia

The moulds for the hull of the Aelicia 77 (design 146) are prepared by shipyard Vels in Medemblik.

November 14th 2008: Axonite

At the moment, two sections of the aluminium ‘Axonite'(design 149) are built by ‘K&M;’ in Makkum. The special form of some details, styled by ‘Guido de Groot Design’ are allready visible.

November 10th 2008

For a dutchman in Indonesia, we designed a new 10m sloop (design 150). The sloop has the same characteristics as the ‘Quaestor’ and the ‘Falcon’. A 40kW engine is located in the aft and in the front is a double berth and a small interior.

November 6th 2008: Ten

Last week, I visited the yard in China. The moulds and the prototype of the ‘TEN’ (design 147) are almost finished and now the yard should focus on the details. The complex composite work, where the yard vacuum-injected the epoxy laminate with a vinylester gelcoat, looks good. At the moment the yard is finishing the stainless steel equipment, keel and rudder.

August 28th 2008: Icon

Hull and deck of the Icon 48 are built upside down. On Friday August 28th, the Icon 48 has been turned. In the next weeks the cabin will be placed.

June 12th 2008: Aelicia

In August 2008 the first building frames of the Aelicia 75 will be set up. The yacht will be built by Jachtwerf Vels & Partners in composite and vacuum injected.

June 12th 2008: Charlotte

The deck of the Charlotte 41 (design 148) is laminated and at the moment the yard is building the cabin and cockpit. Cabinsides will be finished with a mahogany veneer.

June 5th 2008: Axonite

Guido de Groot Design finished the interior end exterior design of the Axonite 69 (design 149). We did the naval architecture and at the moment we’re finishing the construction drawings. The Axonite 69 will be built in Sealium by K&M; in Makkum. Some features are a retractable keel, waterballast and a dinghy storage.
