October 24th 2011: Icon

Last week, the first trials are made with the Icon 48 (design 143). The wheather was stabil and the windspeed was between 12 and 16 knots. The course was a few hours upwind and a few hours downwind, without a gennaker. Upwind, the speed was between 8.5 and 9.0 knots. For the first trial and the few waterdepth on that part of the IJsselmeer, we were very satisfied about the speed and the behaviour of the Icon.

September 27th 2011: Icon

The Icon 48 (design 143) is launched and will be rigged this week. Next week will be the first sea trials. The Icon 48 was built in Sealium at K & M Yacht Builders in Makkum. The rig consists of a carbon Sparcraft mast and sails manufactured by North Sails.

September 6th 2011: Aquarius

The Aquarius (design no. 150), built in Indonesia, is almost finished. In a few months the sloop will arive in the Netherlands. The prototype is allready sold, but the Aquarius will be offered for an intersting price.

August 28th 2011: Indigo

The Indigo (design no. 144) won this year, during the 24-hours, the ‘Tim van Rootselaar prize’. This prize is awarded to the monohull with the most sailed miles in the race. After the victory of the TEN (design no. 147) in 2010, it was the second year in succession for our design. The Indigo 26 (with 26ft, one of the smallest members) sailed in a fleet of 40 and 50 feet racers almost 198 miles.

June 18th 2011: Charlotte

In edition 12, the Dutch ‘Waterkampioen’ published a great article with beautiful pictures of the Charlotte (design 148). There is also a bigger sister, namely a 45ft Charlotte (design 110).

June 9th 2011: Icon

The Icon 48 (design 143), under construction at K&M; in Makkum, almost nearing its completion. Hull and deck are painted in metallic gray. The deck is finished with Esthec, there is a Hall Spars carbon mast and the sails are made by North Sails. The planned launch is in August 2011. The Icon 48 has become a beautiful yacht, with much attention paid to the detailing.

May 29th 2011: TEN

At the moment. a Chinese shipyard has 4 designs of Satellite Yacht Design in production. The yard has already built the TEN (design 147) and later a 22ft daysailer (design 142) and a 15ft (design 156) and 12ft (design 157) dinghy into production. The hull of the TEN has been modified to participate in the IRC fleet.

October 12th 2010: Axonite

Boatyard K&M; made new pictures of the ‘Axonite’.

September 29th 2010: Icon

The sealium hull of the Icon 48, which is built by K&M; Yachtbuilders in Makkum, is finished and will be painted.

September 20th 2010: Axonite

The Axonite 69 was presented on the Hiswa Boat Show. The yacht sailed the last month approxiamately 2000 miles. The boat performed well in all areas. The velocity and stability were good. The rigging, like the carbon mast and the Hagoort sails were stable and all systems worked satisfactorily.
